“Sea Horse” magazine is about liberating children from enforced gender norms that negatively affect their sense of self. The aim is to educate young parents to raise their kids in a more gender-neutral way, showing how much of a difference small changes in their child-rearing practices can make for individuals and, as a result, society. I wanted to show how imposing gender norms on kids by expecting them to follow stereotypes is the problem by revealing how much trauma, stress and anxiety this causes.
